Timothée Chalamet is an American actor who's made a splash films like 'Lady Bird' and 'Call Me By Your Name.' Starting his career in the well known "Interstaler "Timothée didn’t waste time and got involved in numerous project where he played different characterless. 23 year old sensation often portraits the teenage figures experiencing their fist relationships. His most recent work in movie "Beautiful boy" is receiving Oscar buzzes on a daily basis, increasing his chances to be the youngest actor with multiple Oscar nominations.

"Call Me by Your Name" and "Hot Summer Nights" serve as a great example of teenage love in early 80’s. Though two movies star the same actor and develop the same concept of the first love the acting approach to the character of Danny and Elio have drastic differences. Danny- the lead character of Hot Summer Nights starts as shy and insecure teen with no ambition nor social skills. While Elio is established in his friend group, handling himself confidently and gives impression of over mature teenager. \

As the story line develops Danny, following the example of his new friend/business partner Hunter abundances his shell and gains more confidence which can be seen in his actions and decision-making. Danny is not afraid to show his feelings and approaches the most popular girl in town. On the other hand we have Elio, who is caught up in developing strong feelings towards an older graduate student, Oliver. At first, Elio is trying to resist the strange temptations, best example of it is the scene where Oliver is trying to give him massage during the volleyball game and Elio shrugs away with anger in his eyes. Nevertheless, Elio gives in and excepts his feelings not as curse but as greatest gift of lifetime. Elio is not overshadowed by Oliver while Danny is constantly seen only as Hunter's friend. Danny is deeply unsatisfied with his position is Hunter's shadow and does everything in his power to change that.

Timothée Chalamet’s acting in both pieces contains multiple phases and development of character. From shy and useless kid to successful, well known, overconfident for his appearance drug dealer, Danny then back to intelligent, musically talented and secretive Elio who is touched by life-changing summer romance that changes the course of his life. Timothée's ability to amaze the audience with his drastic changes of characters is one of the many reasons why his presence and nominations for numerous awards comes with no surprise to me and many other admirers of a hard- working, talented actor.
