Why communication major at Notre Dame University opens many doors in today's job market 



Today in every career, you need to be able to express yourself exactly, confidently, passionately. It's about informing, entertaining, and moving people's hearts. Communication is the main base for leadership and connection skills in whatever your chosen field turns out to be. The Notre Dame College alumni serve a great example by doing great things in businesses and non-profits, the film and television industry, academia and many other industries.  



According to an analysis of 2.3 million LinkedIn profiles for The Wall Street Journal, nearly 58% of subscribers who claimed to have stellar writing, listening and speaking skills were hired over the course of a year. Public relations', communications', social media's, or broadcast's door are widely open for the people who possess the skills that are taught in NDC under the communications program.  



Laura Hammel, a new member of the Communication faculty at Notre Dame College, shared with us her thoughts regarding NDC’s communication program and its impact on students. "I am impressed with the rigorous writing curriculum to which students are exposed.  I enjoy working with the diversity of students at NDC. Each student contributes a unique perspective to communication issues that is interesting to me"



The Notre Dame College offers a degree in communication with two different concentrations: Media Writing and Performance Study tracks. The courses are oriented to teach the communications from different perspectives and demonstrate virality of approaches that students can use to display their leadership. One of the required courses for the major is Presentation Techniques which helps students to develop persuasion skills as well as learn various interpersonal communication skills and public speaking techniques. Also, NDC offers a course of Organizational Communications that helps students find and develops trier own leadership style as well as learn how to manage organizations, teams and groups. The courses designed to prepper NDC's students to become experts of communication field.

NDC's Communication program invites the students who want to use communication to make positive changes in their lives, their communities, and the world.
